Some beautiful trash photos courtesy of Sonja./( from Oslo Norway.

Here's a subway trash shot graced by natural light, trash appears to be cascading down the hillside but perhaps it was ejected from the train windows. The mystery is sublime!

The water reflection of the beautiful trees in this shot is augmented through juxtaposition of trash in the pond. Trash celebration and the many wonderful attributes of trash are captured by Sonja./) here.

Some historical trash photos, 2006-2010

A side note first, really enjoyed Chriss Pagani's roadside and guerilla photography today. look for the related website link in the menu.

Now, been cleaning up the ol comp which sure gets messy when ur dealing with photography. One can accumulate so much faster than a painter! Here are some shots I wanted to post so I could remember they even exist. I may need them later....

Cross-Canada Trash

Along the highways, traveling daily just as we do, the trash is on a journey. It's time to make visible all the trash that we put out of our minds, and keep placing it infront of viewers for them to see. Then when they move so as not to look at it, place it infront of their view again.

A bit of a childish prank, ?, more of an educational prank, ?, yes.

send your pics of garbage by the road, artistic or not. just like any other visual stimulus, if we look at it enough we begin to find details and meaning that was not previously considered.

your participation in this blog is welcomed!

Roadside Trash in the Okanagan

From Vernon BC in the North Okanagan, traveling up the winding highway to the NORD dump, sometimes you will see full bags of trash by the roadside. It's unmistakable - these full bags have ejected themselves from trucks, because they were afraid of what would happen to them in the dump. Most likely a democratic decision of each piece of garbage inside the bag.

Do you have a different opinion about this? Please leave a comment and perhaps give us your story about roadside trash in Canada.
